The Custom Aerosol Story
Preston Staley founded Custom Aerosol Products, Inc. in 1985 after spending more than 20 years with the Sherwin-Williams® Company, the last several of which he served as its National Sales Manager for the Chemical Coatings Division.
Preston recognized a market need for a small, fast-response company to supply commercial and industrial customers with touch-up paints to match OEM finishes. Large paint suppliers had just too much overhead and infrastructure to be able to supply small amounts of paint, most of it custom color-matched, quickly and affordably. So with the goal in mind of supplying that market niche, Preston left Sherwin-Williams® and opened Custom Aerosol.
Clint Hooper took over ownership in 2016 while Mr. Staley remained with the company as a consultant. Clint started at Custom Aerosol Products, Inc in 2003 after proudly serving four years in the United States Army where he had one tour to Iraq. He took the drive and discipline he obtained in the military and worked his way up from paint filler and mixer to plant manager.

Today, Custom Aerosol Products serves a growing customer base that has come to depend upon Custom Aerosol’s consistent high-quality color matching and dependable performance to delivery needs.
